Tony Hicks, the owner/broker of Georgia Views Realty, started investing in real estate in his mid 20’s in Macon, Georgia. While building his real estate portfolio, Tony became a Certified FHA real estate appraiser in 1998. For diversification purposes, his company expanded into residential apartments and commercial office properties to build portfolios for income stream investors. During this time, Tony and his wife Susan had their second child and purchased a vacation home on St Simons Island. By the time the children grew up and went off to college, Tony’s owned four vacation condos in St Simons and the company had begun flipping many homes per year as well. Then he found Big Canoe ~ an award-winning golf and tennis community located in the north Georgia foothills. With beautiful mountains and all four seasons, Big Canoe reminded him of where he grew up in New England.  While finishing up his second home renovation to flip in Big Canoe, he realized this was a place he just couldn’t leave. Big Canoe is a private gated community with 27 holes of golf, indoor and outdoor tennis, three lakes with a Marina, white sand beach, bocce, indoor and outdoor pools, state of the art gym with racquetball, and a fantastic clubhouse. So instead of selling the home he planned to flip, he moved the family to Big Canoe to enjoy the good life! He hired a manager for his over 50 properties in Macon and relaxed. However, that was not like Tony. He missed helping people find homes; he missed working with his investors. So he started Georgia Views Realty! He is so thankful to not only live in Big Canoe, but also to have the opportunity to help people buy and sell real estate within his community and surrounding areas. Under Tony's leadership, Georgia Views Realty has grown its service area to include Jasper, Dawsonville, Ball Ground, Canton, Ellijay, Dahlonega, Cumming, and Roswell.
